Purpose: To increase the availability and awareness of educational resources for physicians and practice executives as they migrate to electronic health record adoption.

Robert Wiggins MD, MHA — Co-Chair
Asheville, N.C.
Dr. Wiggins practices pediatric and neuro-ophthalmology in a 19 provider multisubspecialty practice. He is the physician administrator with Asheville Eye Associates. His practice has been using EHR since 2006. |

Joy Woodke, COE, OCS — Co-Chair
Eugene, Ore.
Joy is practice administrator at Oregon Eye Consultants, LLC, a three provider practice which belongs to an associated entity, Oregon Eye Associates (OEA). OEA comprises three independent physician practices, an ambulatory surgery center, and diagnostic testing lab that have come together to share resources, including electronic medical records. Ms. Woodke served on the committee that implemented these products for OEA in 2007. |

Albert Castillo

Albert consults and manages various ophthalmology and other medical practices throughout the state of Texas working at different levels with over 20 general and multi-specialty ophthalmologists, one optometrist, eight practices, five optical shops, and an ASC. He has worked with several EHR systems during his career in ophthalmology. |

David Durfee, MD
Portland, Oregon
Dr. Durfee serves on the Academy Strategic Assessment Planning Task Force and is the current Secretary for Practice Management to the Academy Board of Trustees. He has served the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 1981. He last served as the Senior Secretary for Ophthalmic Practice. Dr. Durfee practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in the Portland, Oregon for 21 years. He has served on the AAOE Board since 2001. |

Paulette is the practice administrator for a solo retina practice. She has been using an application service provider EHR system for over 5 years. |

Dr. Olivier has a solo glaucoma consulting practice in the Chicago area with satellite offices and has been using EMR since 1995. |

Paula manages a solo practice in New Mexico. Her practice implemented EHR in 2005. |
