Electronic Health Records (EHR) Central

What is an electronic health record (EHR)? See the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society’s (HIMSS) definition at Electronic Health Record (EHR).

The Academy/AAOE recognizes that the transition to EHRs represents a major financial and cultural change for practices. The Academy/AAOE offers this site as a member benefit to help you through the selection and implementation process and to keep you up-to-date on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 ARRA incentive program which provides payments of up to a $44,000 incentive to “meaningful users” of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology.

As a first step, you may want to review, Pros and Cons of EHR Adoption.
